About the United America Network
United America Network (UAN) is a progressive media and communications platform based in Riverside County, California, describing itself as "the voice of democracy."
UAN produces original video programming, podcasts, and local reporting on county government, labor, education, culture, and youth sports, with the aim of countering misinformation, making local policy easier to understand, and giving residents access to public events and community discussions they might not otherwise be able to attend.
Its slate of shows includes Democracy on Fire, RadioFree Riverside, Riverside Rank and File, Straight Outta RivCo, Period DOT!, Riverside Rants, The Joy of Democracy, We Did That!, and Varsity Vibes, hosted by a mix of former elected officials, attorneys, educators, labor advocates, and broadcasters. The network was co-founded by Executive Producer Joy Silver, current Chair of the Riverside County Democratic Party, and its programming is paid for by the Riverside County Democratic Party (not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee).
