Job Description
We are always looking to grow our network of contract editors to assist our team in the podcast production cycle. This is a 1099 contract role that will require a focus on quality, clarity, and creativity as we produce high-end content that rivals industry leaders. They will be responsible for editing podcasts in both interview and narrative formats. The Contract Podcast Editor will also be responsible for delivering podcasts in time to meet production deadlines and will be a key player in helping build HumblePod’s standards for audio quality.
Responsibilities
- Ability to edit podcasts and provide them in alignment with our production schedule.
- Assist with creative aspects of editing & narrative content
- Cleaning & restoring low-quality & damaged audio
- Ability to work occasional nights & weekends to ensure client success around the world
Required Skills
- Proven ability to create & consistently produce podcast content
- Keen attention to detail
- Self-directed and proactive problem-solver
- Strong project and time management abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience using project management software (experience with ClickUp is a plus!)
- Proven experience with Adobe Audition & iZotope software
- Experience with using Google Drive & Dropbox
Preferred Skills
- Experience with creating, hosting, and/or producing a podcast
- Actively producing or participating in an ongoing podcast
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite tools (Specifically Audition, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- Experience working with tech companies or startup
