Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Tell stories with pictures and sound and identify video that is newsworthy in its own right
Identify, conceive, develop, produce, post & distribute lively, first rate audio and video journalism
Edit existing audio and video to meet the requests of Journalists and Editors
Capture/Import media, organise raw media, edit footage and sound files
Work with the department head and line managers to take complete ownership of content creation from beginning to end, including some of Australia’s leading podcast series and agenda-setting video/audio lifestyle and entertainment series
Who are you?
Three years minimum experience in media and journalism. Ideally as an audio/video producer, journalist or social media content creator
Use of Descript, Adobe Audition and ideally Adobe Premier or willingness to learn
Proven record of producing editorial content including news and feature copy
Ideally created video content for social media or created your own video content
Able to write catchy headlines and scripts and a strong sense of what people engage with online
Capable of multitasking and managing deadlines will be paramount
