Production Lead

The objective of the Kelly Johnson Foundation – Daily Grind Podcast Production Lead is to expose you to how a organization is expanding podcast outreach and communications and leveraging the many modern Marketing and Media channels, while growing the nonprofit community in the process. You will be tasked as a part-time position working remotely with the below responsibilities.

This position will prove to be an incredible experience for anyone going into podcasting, digital/audio editing, or communications fields.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the coordination and execution of the Kelly Johnson Foundation’s strategic production plan of its official podcast, the Daily Grind
• Analyze market research and special guest interview prep, including fact-checking and episode agenda creation
• Utilize our podcast platform to increase social media followers, and promote events to new and existing followers
• Shadow engineering and editing sessions to learn fundamental audio editing skills.
• Assisting in the development, editing, and promotion of podcast episodes
• Support preparation of internal and external partnership communications
• Create engaging title and description copy for various marketing collateral
• Team collaboration in a virtual environment

Requirements

You must be willing to commit 10 to 15 hours a week to be considered.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in progress.
• Must be available to work 10-15 hours per week.
• Must be legally able to work the US or Canada.
• This is an unpaid position, although eligible for quarterly bonus.

Job Requirements

• Strong passion for podcast production and editing.
• Curious, confident and articulate
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
• Able to communicate effectively via social media and other means
• Must have demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and complete projects on schedule and on budget
• Analyze, organize, and problem solve frequently and efficiently
