Job Description
Auphonic develops intelligent audio algorithms using a combination of AI and signal processing to create an automatic audio post production web service — an audio autopilot for podcasts, broadcasters, radio, interviews, audiobooks, lecture recordings, and more. Millions of users rely on our services and algorithms, which adapt to new data daily. That is why we continually seek new talents to join our team and improve our solutions.
You'll open up one (or more) new language region(s) for Auphonic and build them end-to-end. This role is deliberately about going deep in the regions you truly know and opening up new markets there. You'll be the face and voice of Auphonic in your region: you know the local audio, podcast, and creator scene, you show up where it matters, and you turn that presence into real traction – community, partnerships, and meaningful growth.
One thing that makes this role unusual: we don't decide the market in advance – you do. You bring the language(s) and the market (the network, the cultural fluency, the instincts), and the first region we open is simply where we find the strongest person. Ideally you're based in Austria, working with the team in our office – we're hybrid, so that's about one or two days a week – though for the right person we're open to talking about the setup.
Your tasks:
- Community & networking: become a real presence in the local audio, podcast, and creator scene, and build genuine relationships in it
- Events & stage: represent Auphonic in person – your own talks, appearances, and visibility at the events that matter locally
- Localized content & social: produce content and social output built for your market from scratch, in your own voice
- Partnerships: open and grow relationships with podcast networks, hosting platforms, broadcasters, and educational institutions
- Local go-to-market & messaging: adapt how we position and talk about Auphonic so it lands with local audiences
- Own the numbers: define and track your own KPIs for the market, and feed what you learn back to our product and strategy team
Your profile:
- Native / negotiation-level fluency in one (or more) relevant language(s) outside EN/DE – e.g. Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, and having two (say, Spanish and French) is even better. Plus German or English as your team language, and we're open for surprises, so bring your language
- Stage and community presence, with a visible track record of your own social output
- A real affinity for audio, podcasting, and sound engineering – you know the scene and speak the language of the professionals in it
- A self-starting, autonomous generalist and storyteller who spots the opportunity, goes out and makes things happen, and delivers without needing much process around them
- Ideally a strong all-round marketer (brand building, social, messaging, and performance marketing when it's useful), with local market-building as your clear focus
We offer:
- Part-time (>= 34h/week) or full-time (38.5h/week) employment, ideally based in Austria, see IT Collective Agreement
- € 45.000 gross per year (full-time) or more, depending on your qualifications and experience
- Work in our office in Graz or remote
- Flexible time management for a healthy work-life balance (no all-in contracts, no overtime)
